Pareto FM gains F-Gas & OFTEC Badges

June 1, 2016

Pareto FM have achieved accreditation to the industry leading F-Gas & OFTEC schemes. The F Gas accreditation relates to the management, control and strategy of fluorinated gases, specifically in relation to refrigerant in commercial air conditioning systems. Whilst, the OFTEC accreditation is in relation to maintenance of oil, solid fuel, and renewable heating equipment and Part P electrical work. These accreditations see Pareto FM add to its impressive accreditation bank.

Terry Robinson, Technical Compliance Manager for Pareto FM commented ‘We are delighted to have achieved accreditation for F Gas and OFTEC at the first time of asking. These accreditations will enable us to take greater control of our air-conditioning/gas maintenance provision and ultimately serve the needs of our customers directly and more effectively.

‘I am delighted to see Pareto FM continue to professionally develop as an organisation through accreditations, people development and professional qualifications. Specifically, these accreditations continue to demonstrate our competence, capabilities and passion for furthering ourselves within the field of FM and continue to derive greater value for our customers’ added Andrew Hulbert, Managing Director of Pareto FM

About F Gas Register

F Gas Register is the online home and application portal for the Quidos F Gas company certification scheme, as appointed by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) under the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2009.

Quidos specialise in certification and accreditation requirements, enabling individuals and businesses to comply with the latest government legislation and laws with the minimum of hassle and inconvenience.

The SRAC industry and the world as a whole now understands that fluorinated gases have a potentially devastating global warming effect when released into the atmosphere. The F Gas regulations have been implemented in order to contain, prevent and thereby reduce emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases.

On 2nd April 2009 the Commission Regulation 303/2008 set out the requirements for a company certification scheme for businesses working with refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump equipment containing or designed to contain fluorinated greenhouse gases. These requirements are in accordance with Article 5.1 of EC Regulations 842/2006 on certain fluorinated greenhouse gases (the EC F Gas Regulation).
