Pareto FM supports national campaign to raise the profile of FM

Pareto FM has offered its support to a new Building Futures Group initiative titled #SecretJobs. With fears of an ageing workforce and impending skills gap gripping the sector, The Building Futures Group has launched a national campaign with the aim of attracting young people to the cleaning and facilities management (FM) sectors. This drive has the intention of inspiring more people to consider cleaning and facilities management as a long-term career option, showcasing the career progression opportunities and attractive salaries available. Often referred to as the ‘secret sector’, worth at least £70bn per year to the economy, the campaign serves to highlight the detrimental effect the entire economy could experience without such vital services.

'We are delighted to be supporting this campaign as it highlights the opportunities that facilities management can offer young, enthusiastic talent. It shows the wealth of opportunities and different paths that lead in to facilities management and the potential to progress quickly if you demonstrate the right set of skills.' Hulbert himself had went from graduate to director of his division within four years before leaving to found Pareto FM in 2014. As part of the campaign Andrew and Sarah Bentley (CEO Building Futures Group) completed a day of interviews on national radio with a reach of over 9million listeners. The sole aim to get the discussion of facilities management in to the public conversation.
