Capability and People

Capability built in, not contracted out
At Pareto, we've made a deliberate decision to retain critical capability in-house.

While much of the FM sector relies heavily on subcontracting specialist services, we believe that control, consistency and accountability matter too much to be managed at arm's length. That's why we self-deliver a high proportion of our services through our own teams, including specialist disciplines such as water treatment, fire, security and gas engineering

This approach allows us to stand behind performance rather than coordinate it.

By maintaining direct responsibility for key services, we reduce handovers, improve responsiveness and ensure standards are applied consistently across estates. Our engineers understand the buildings they work in, the systems they maintain and the context in which decisions are made- not just the immediate task

Just as importantly, self-delivery strengthens our ability to deliver integrated FM. when services sit within one organisation, supported by shared systems and shared insight, they can genuinely aligned rather than simply bundled.

People at the heart of delivery
Self-delivery also shapes our culture
It allows us to attract, retain and develop our people who want to build long-term careers rather than move between short-term assignments. Knowledge stays within our teams and with our clients, building familiarity, confidence and trust over time.
That continuity leads to:
-
deeper understanding of estates
-
better-informed decisions
-
stronger relationships on site
-
service that improves rather than resets
People have always been at the heart of Pareto. Retaining capability in-house ensures they remain as we grow

Why this puts us ahead of the curve

By investing in people and capability, rather than complexity, we provide our clients greater certainty around quality, cost and delivery. It's a model built for long-term performance, not short-term convenience.
