Pareto FM join pioneering mentoring scheme founded by Jessica Huie MBE

NEW MENTORING INITIATIVE TO ADDRESS BRITAIN’S £19bn TALENT SHORTAGE AND DISRUPT THE OUTDATED RECRUITMENT MARKET

Pareto FM have joined the likes of ASOS, The Guardian and Canon UK in becoming founded members of the Connect Mentors scheme, launched this week by Jessica Huie MBE.

Top insurance firms Canopius and Brit Insurance have stepped in to help address Britain’s widening skills gap by backing a new UK wide online mentoring platform called Connect Mentors.

Connect Mentors aims to increase social mobility across Britain by developing talent from “new pools”. It will match mentors from some of Britain’s leading organisations with “mentee from marginalised or “unconnected” backgrounds.

Connect Mentors will also work with organisations representing ethnic minorities, women, students, and returnees and will provide networking for those without networks.

Further founder partners include WeAreTheCity, UCL, City Gateway, DevelopHer, The Precious Awards, University of Roehampton, Generation Success and Inspirational YOU. Further corporate support at the opening stage includes Condé Nast, ASOS, The Guardian and Canon UK.

Budding talents from these partners will be matched with experienced figures from relevant fields, who will act as mentors, providing advice, introductions and sharing knowledge. In return, they will demonstrate their potential value to their mentors, providing access to a more diverse talent pool.

Connect Mentors will also work with organisations representing ethnic minorities, women, students, and returnees and will provide networking for those without networks.
