Five colleagues from across Pareto have begun a 12-month programme to develop their project management skills, combining professional learning with practical experience.

Pareto has partnered with GLP Training to launch the Group’s first Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship programme, supporting career development and strengthening project delivery across its Pareto and Sowga businesses.

The programme began on 14 October 2026 and includes the APM Project Management Qualification. Participants will develop their knowledge of project planning, commercial management, risk and stakeholder engagement, applying their learning alongside their existing responsibilities.

The first cohort comprises Beth Burrage, Specialist Services Support; Sammy Bashall, Specialist Services Manager; Rebecca Penny, Project Supervisor; Jade Carrasco, Project Manager; and Katie Davies, Account Manager.

Bringing together colleagues from specialist services, projects and account management, the all-female cohort reflects the range of roles in which project management skills can support professional growth and client delivery.

The programme is led by Enda Nally, Group Projects Director. The Projects Division operates across the Group, bringing together colleagues from Pareto and Sowga to deliver technical projects for clients. GLP Training was selected following Enda’s experience of working with the provider on previous programmes.

Enda Nally, Group Projects Director, said:

“Technical projects need strong project management alongside technical expertise. Planning, commercial awareness, risk management and clear communication all play a part in delivering safely and successfully for our clients.

“This programme gives our colleagues the opportunity to build those skills and apply them in their day-to-day work. Having worked with GLP on previous programmes, I know the support they can bring. I’m looking forward to seeing Beth, Sammy, Rebecca, Jade and Katie develop their confidence and put their learning into practice.”

Will Metcalfe, CEO of Pareto, said:

“Our people are central to the quality of service we deliver. Investing in their development creates opportunities for them and strengthens the capability of the business.

“This programme brings colleagues from across Pareto and Sowga together around a shared ambition to develop their skills. It’s an investment in their future and in the project expertise our clients rely on. I’m proud to see our first five participants taking this step.”

Colin Kimber, Culture & Engagement Director, said:

“Investing in our people has been part of our DNA from the very beginning. As we grow and mature as a business, we can give our culture, engagement and people development the same focus we give to strengthening our technical and facilities management capabilities.

“This programme is a practical example of that commitment, giving colleagues across the Group the opportunity to build their confidence, develop their skills and take the next step in their careers. It’s an exciting time, and I’m proud to be part of a team that believes in this culture and puts it into practice.”

Joanne Allsopp, Customer Success Partner at GLP Training, said:

“It is an absolute pleasure to be partnering with Pareto as they continue to invest in the development of their people through the Associate Project Manager Level 4 programme. What really stands out about Pareto is their genuine commitment to creating opportunities for their employees to learn, grow, and progress their careers.

“At GLP Training, we are passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential, so it is fantastic to support a business that shares those values. We're excited to be part of this journey and look forward to seeing these learners build their confidence, develop new skills, and achieve their career ambitions while contributing to the continued success of Pareto”

The programme will support participants to connect their practical experience with structured project management learning, building capability across the business and supporting the delivery of technical projects for clients.
