Pareto launch #FM10! The free virtual 10km run

Pareto launch FM industry’s first free virtual run to tackle mental health fatigue during lockdown

Pareto have launched the FM sector’s first free virtual 10km running event. The purpose of this initiative is to encourage people to stay physically active during lockdown by achieving the goal of running 10km. All with the aim of supporting the mental and physical health of those in facilities management.

Participants will be invited to complete a single 10km run anytime between 19th October 2020 and 8th November 2020. They will then submit their completion evidence to a central email address and will receive a free medal for their achievement in the post.

There are 100 spaces available for this virtual event on a first come, first served basis.

To sign up for the free virtual run participants simply need to email FM10@paretofm.com.

The event can be followed using #FM10 on Twitter and Instagram.

Chris Barnes, Senior Account Manager at Pareto and event organiser added “I’ve been part of the running community for a number of years and am delighted that Pareto is bringing this event to the FM sector. The health benefits of running are brilliant and we strongly encourage as many people as possible to get involved. Couple the health benefits with doing a run with the feeling of achievement and the physical medal and it all comes together well”.

Andrew Hulbert, founder of Pareto commented “During lockdown I’ve had the privilege of having some spare time which I have allocated to training to run longer distances. The physical and mental health benefits of this have been significant and I’ve enjoyed learning to run. Pareto wanted to do something to encourage others to get involved as well as raising awareness of the importance of discussing our mental health. We have had 100 bespoke medals made for this run and hope that it will encourage people to get involved as they add to their collections”.
