The Resilience Question: How Leaders Respond to Constant Pressure

Leadership today is being tested in new ways.
Rising expectations, operational pressure and constant change mean leaders are being asked to do more than ever while still supporting the people around them.

Our new whitepaper, The Resilience Advantage: Leading Teams Through Challenge and Change, explores what resilient leadership looks like in practice.
Developed from an executive roundtable, hosted by Colin Kimber Culture and Engagement Director, Pareto in partnership with KaiConnectionsLondonLtd- Kai-Nneka Townsend and ResilienceBuilder®-Steve Howe, the discussion brought together senior leaders from across facilities management, insurance, legal, real estate, HR and technology.
A recurring theme was how leaders are managing increasing pressure and uncertainty while continuing to support their teams and make clear decisions.
Four themes emerged.
The importance of clarity in decision making.
The role of psychological safety in enabling teams to pause and think.
The need to view resilience as an organisational responsibility rather than an individual trait.
And the recognition that leaders must acknowledge pressure before they can manage it.
The paper also examines leadership capacity through the ResilienceBuilder®, offering insight into how organisations can make the move from awareness to practical action.
This is the first in a series of Pareto whitepapers exploring the ideas shaping the future of engineering and workplace solutions.
